Paul van Buitenen MEP published a summary of the secret internal audit report of the Parliament on payments by MEPs to their assistants, revealing appalling cases of misuse of the funds of the Parliament. The Greens called for a quick reform of the payment system and the introduction of a transparent assistants statute.
