Olympic rights for human games

A conference on Olympic Games in China

It is crucial for the EU to speak with one voice concerning questions as sensitive as human rights in China and Tibet. In order to attempt to answer a series of questions during the conference, the Greens/EFA have invited a number of European political figures, international experts, journalists and representatives of the International Olympic Committee.

Greens/EFA firmly condemn the brutal repression by the Chinese security forces against Tibetan demonstrators and call upon the European Union and the Member States to seriously consider common actions vis-à-vis the People's Republic of China in case the situation does not improve.
