Olympic rights for human games

A Greens/EFA campaign on Olympic Games and China

Human rights must not be forgotten during the Olympic Games in Beijing this summer. The Greens/EFA want to address ways in which to raise the profile of the issue during and in the run-up to the Games. Whether by boycott of the opening ceremony or by other means, the Greens/EFA group believe respect for human rights must be at the forefront of EU policy towards China.

Trans European Networks of Transport

Trans European Networks of Transport

Overall presentation of the different projects and space for debate at European level

Although some good projects have materialised in the past, the big problem of the TEN-T program is its slow progress especially in rail projects. A major lack of financing is one of the main problems of the network. If European transport policy is to seriously contribute in the fight against climate change it is crucial to reconsider the trans-European network as well as transport policy under the premise of economical, social and environmental sustainability and climate change.

Stop climate change - play your part

A joint information campaign by European Greens

We must stop climate change - urgently. New information confirming and deepening the scientific consensus on climate change is reported almost on a daily basis. Greens are convinced that the EU must lead the global fight and urgently invest more in energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Relying on nuclear energy undermines genuine solutions to climate change.
