The Greens/EFA workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and Green Energy Technologies dealt with some crucial issues in the context of the negotiations for an international agreement on tackling climate change. The speakers highlighted the importance of technology transfer for an international agreement but also the challenge posed by intellectual property rules.
