Climate migrants: How to protect the people who are affected by climate change

The Greens/EFA conference on climate migrations concluded with the adoption of a declaration addressing the key points on this issue to the European institutions. These included:

  • The creation of a transversal and high level working group on the question of climate-induced migrations within the European institutions
  • The integration of climate constraints into the development projects
  • The creation of an international fund for the management of the population movements
