Nuclear power

"The Economics of Nuclear Power", new report commissioned by Greenpeace

This new report by Greenpeace International conclusively proves that nuclear power is neither a practical nor economically viable solution to tacklling climate change.

The need for government support, i.e. public funds, weakens also the economic argument for nuclear, like for the new plant under construction in Finland.

Furthermore the significant and widespread concerns over the basic safety, waste disposal and decommisssioning of existing plants remain.
